TIANHUA disk Dryer
1. Introduction of Equipment
Paddle dryer (cooler) is a sort of compact, high thermal efficient, indirect-heated (cooled) stirring equipment, it’s structure mainly including top cover, rotating shaft, trough, dryer frame and driving mechanism. Paddle shaft is the key part of dryer, which is comprised of holly blade and holly shaft with special flow channel. The trough is inclined at a small angle to horizontal. Wet cake is fed into the inlet side, and moves to the outlet as a result of gravity and paddle shaft. At the outlet side, the product moves to next process via the overflow dam. The heat is transferred to (or from) the material via hollow blade, hollow shaft and jacket.
Paddle dryer (cooler) is mainly used in processes of drying, reacting, cooling, crystallizing, evaporating, sterilizing, low temperature roasting and so on for heat-stable organic and inorganic products and heat sensitive products in vacuum condition. It can also be used for combined purpose.
By heating medium, paddle dryer can be divided into steam type (saturated steam or over-heat steam), liquid type (water or oil, hot or cool), operation method can be continuous or batch type, with heating medium(steam, oil or water) keeps away from the product. By the number of paddle shaft, paddle dryer can be divided into single shafts, double shafts and quad shafts. By operating pressure, paddle dryer can be divided into vacuum type, atmospheric type and pressurized type.
Two paddle shafts turn in opposite directions and can be meshed or not. Specially designed paddles ensure excellent contact between blade surfaces and material. Due to the wedged shape of blade, material can be pressed and released alternatively in axial direction. Paddle blades is self-cleaning type which provides relative shear forces between blade and material and keeps blade clean for better heat transfer.
